As you can see by now, I like this design so much that I have made a few knives with it. This knife was made as a Christmas gift for my father in-law. This knife has around a 3in blade and is made out of 5/32 A2 tool steel. It has grey and black rubberized G10 handle scales with neon green liners and pins. My hope is that the green will help my father in-law not lose it on his farm…I think he still has it…if he lost it he hasn’t told me yet…
This was the first knife that I have made with the handle scales slightly smaller than the handle profile. The blade has a wet sanded 600 grit brushed finish, which is becoming my preferred grit for a brush look on the finish. For me right now, the 600 grit brushed finish is a good balance of how many man hours I put in it for the results I end up with.
