I really like the utility of this knife design. I will continue to tweak this design as I make more. This was a Christmas gift for my father in-law. This one is around a 3 inch blade made with 5/32-inch A2 tool steel. It has grey and black single ply rubberized G10 handle scales with neon green liners. My thinking is that the neon green will be easier to see if it gets lost on his farm…I think he still has it…if he lost it he hasn’t told me yet…
This was the first knife that I made with the handle scales slightly smaller than the handle profile. The blade has a wet sanded 600 grit brushed finish. This is becoming my preferred look for a brushed finish on my knives. Right now the 600 grit is a good balance of how many man hours I put in for the results I end up with.
